Pipe Handling Davits System

In 1982 SAS supplied its first Pipe Handling Davits System and SAS has continued to do so. Pipe Handling Davits are positioned to the side of a barge and used for lifting or lowering a pipe string from or to the seabed for maintenance or repair services.

A typical Davits System consists of:

• Four (4) to six (6) Pipe Handling Davits
• Single or double fall
• Fixed or revolving pedestal
• Electric and Hydraulic Power Units
• Local and Remote Controls.
