Continuing its success, SAS Winches has been awarded a new contract for the supply of a Mooring Equipment Package consisting of a complete set of four Mooring Winches including its controls, fairleads, diverter sheaves, cables and anchors. As part of the package SAS will also supply the bridle retrieval system including six airtuggers, towing brackets, chocks and other auxiliaries.The client, CICSA from Mexico, which is part of Grupo Carso owned by Mr. Carlos Slim, will install the equipment on their Jack Up Rig "Independencia 1", the first ever new built Jack Up in Central America. The rig will be built according to the F&G JU-2000 design at their Tuxpan facility. The first equipment is scheduled to be installed on board the rig beginning of May 2010. |
